McClure Street: Car damaged in south Belfast blaze

A car has been burnt out in McClure Street in south Belfast.

Police received a report shortly after 04:35 BST on Sunday that a car parked in the area had been set alight.

No-one was injured in the blaze, but the car was extensively damaged.

Two men were seen running away from the vehicle at the time of the fire. A PSNI spokesperson said the incident is not being linked to a recent spate of arson attacks in the Holyland area of south Belfast.

Police said their inquiries are continuing and appealed for information.
