Car and house damaged in Greenisland, County Antrim

A car and a house have been attacked in Greenisland, County Antrim.

It happened in Knocksallagh Park around 21:45 BST on Friday. Windows at a property were smashed and a car was damaged. Graffiti was also daubed on both.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and can be contacted by calling the new non-emergency number 101.

Police are not linking the incident to disorder in Carrickfergus on Thursday night.

On Friday, police in Carrickfergus warned that loyalist paramilitaries were planning riots and attacks on officers on Friday night, but on Saturday police said there had not been any "significant incidents of note" overnight.

The warning came less than a fortnight after police blamed the south east Antrim UDA for orchestrating a "rampage" in Larne, County Antrim.
