Killough: Painter rescued after getting stuck halfway up lighthouse

A man has been taken to hospital after he got stuck halfway up the outside of a lighthouse in County Down.
The 50-year-old man had been painting the St Johns Point lighthouse near Killough and was suspended about 50ft (15m) above the ground.
He was rescued by a specialist rescue team from the Fire and Rescue Service and the Ambulance Service.
It is understood the man was suspended for about an hour and a half before he was freed.
The alarm was raised at around 10:05 GMT.
Fire appliances from Downpatrick, Newcastle and Ballynahinch were also at the scene.
