Jason McGovern killing: Five in court over Omagh death

Five people from Omagh, County Tyrone, have pleaded not guilty to a number of charges relating to the death of Jason McGovern.

The 19-year-old from County Monaghan died on New Years' Eve last year after being attacked after leaving a nightclub in the town.

He was found dead hours later at a friend's house.

A trial is expected to take place next May and last about three weeks.

Four men and a woman appeared at Dungannon Crown Court on Tuesday.

Mark Donnelly, 21, from Greencastle Road faces the most serious charge.

He replied not guilty when the charges of manslaughter and affray were put to him in court.

Aaron Bradley, 19, from Waterworks Road pleaded not guilty to affray and assault.

Two others, Liam Chism, 18, of Knockloughan and James O'Brien, 22, from Rylagh Road, pleaded not guilty to affray.

Aisling McAleer, 22, of Slieveard Court denies perverting the course of justice by making a false witness statement to police during a murder investigation.
