Glenarm shooting farmhouse burgled

The farmhouse where two men were found shot dead last Friday was burgled after police left the scene on Sunday.

The burglary at the house on Feystown Road in Glenarm, County Antrim, is thought to have happened sometime between 15:00 BST on Sunday and 07:30 BST on Monday.

Officers finished their examination of the scene on Sunday afternoon, and left after securing the premises.

They had earlier recovered a firearm and other items at the scene.

Arthur Gibson, 61, and Michael Murphy, 37, were found dead at Mr Gibson's farmhouse on Friday night.

It is understood Mr Murphy, a farm worker, shot his employer before turning the gun on himself.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the burglary to contact them.
