Man charged over £500,000 cannabis seizure in Greyabbey

Police investigating the discovery of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £500,000 have charged a 61-year-old man with various offences.

The plants were seized during a police search of a property in the centre of Greyabbey, County Down, on 23 August.

He faces charges including possession of a class B drug, conspiracy to supply a class B drug, cultivating cannabis and transferring criminal property.

The man is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates' Court later.

He is the third person to be charged in connection with the seizure.

A man aged 46 and and 24-year-old woman appeared in court on 26 August and were both remanded in custody.
