Police seek witnesses to sectarian assault and robbery

Police in County Antrim are appealing for witnesses following a sectarian assault and robbery on Saturday.

Two men aged 18 and 19 were walking along Elmfield Road in Newtownabbey when a red estate car approached them at the junction of Collinward Avenue.

Two men inside the car shouted sectarian taunts at them before getting out of the vehicle and assaulting them.

The pair took mobile phones, football tickets and bank cards from their victims.
