Man assaulted by five-strong gang in Belfast

A 35-year-old man has been assaulted by a group of up to five men in south Belfast.

The attack happened at Kitchener Street, off the Donegall Road, just before midnight on Tuesday.

The victim was hit around the head. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The police are appealing for information.
