The search is continuing for a pensioner who has been missing from his nursing home for more than a week.

Harry Warwick, 78, was last seen at his nursing home, Abingdon Manor, on the Crumlin Road in Belfast on 19 December.

When last seen he was wearing an overcoat, dark coloured trousers and was wearing gold rim tinted glasses.

Several hundred leaflets appealing for information were issued at the Cliftonville v Crusaders football match on Wednesday.

Police have said Mr Warwick is frail and vulnerable. They have conducted house to house enquiries in the lower part of North Belfast and followed up reported sightings. Teams have also been looking in country parks and quarries.

Earlier in the week, Detective chief inspector Alan Little said he wanted the public to help them find Mr Warwick.

"There are a number of searches ongoing and a number of additional resources have been drafted into the area," he said.

"I'm just looking to make an appeal to anybody who lives in the north Belfast area to check sheds, garages and lock-ups and any unoccupied premises to help us locate Harry."
