In Pictures: Rebuilding the Titanic with balloons
A 45-foot balloon sculpture celebrating the Titanic is being launched in Victoria Square, Belfast, as part of the city's centenary commemorations. Rodney Fisher was part of the Portadown team which was commissioned to create the sculpture. Here, he works on its intricate design.
It does not look like much in the early stages, but the structure has an aluminium frame and is a 1/22 scale of the Titanic.
Long hours were spent researching and preparing the design for the balloon structure
A team of six people worked for weeks to build the sculpture - and then it was on the move.
In it goes! The sculpture is delicately put in place to form the centre-piece of the centenary events in Victoria Square.
The sculpture is set in place in Belfast's largest shopping complex, but it will be suspended 20 feet in the air.
Job well done! Rodney Fisher's wife, Fiona, has been creating giant balloon sculptures for around 13 years - but is particularly proud of her Titanic achievement.
