Gunmen steal cash and cigarettes in Antrim

Cash and cigarettes were stolen in two armed robberies in Antrim on Sunday which are believed to have been linked.

In the first incident, at about 16:40 GMT, a man wearing a balaclava and armed with a gun stole cigarettes from a shop on the Dublin Road.

At about 23:15 GMT two masked men, one with a gun, entered a shop in Greystone Shopping Centre.

Cash was taken and it is believed the men made off on foot towards the Greystone estate.

There were no reports of any injuries in either incident, but staff members at both locations were left badly shaken.

The first man was described as being about 5ft 8ins tall, slim and was wearing a grey hooded top and grey track suit bottoms with white trainers.

The second was about 5ft 9ins, of medium build, and was wearing a black coat.
