Road closed as suspicious object prompts alert

Army bomb experts are examining a suspicious object in County Londonderry.

The Curraghmore Road, in Garvagh, was closed at the junction of Drumbane Road following the discovery of the device.

Meanwhile, an earlier alert on the Limestone Road in north Belfast has been declared a hoax.

About 50 homes and some businesses were evacuated while the scene was examined.
