Irish police seize 105kgs of 'cannabis'

More than 810,000 euro (£696,500) worth of cannabis has been seized from an NI-registered car by police in the Republic of Ireland.

Detectives stopped the vehicle on the M1 near Drogheda earlier on Friday.

Police found 30kgs of suspected herbal cannabis and 75kgs of suspected cannabis resin with a combined market value of 810,000 euro.

A 39-year-old man has been charged and is expected to appear in court on Saturday.
