Man is charged with 'misconduct in public office'

A 34-year-old man has been charged with misconduct in public office as part of a wider investigation into the murder of a Lithuanian man in Dungannon.

Audrius Aukstuolis, 29, was stabbed in a carpark in Dungannon on Wednesday. He died on Thursday from his injuries.

The 34-year-old, who has not been questioned in relation to the murder, has also been charged with breaching the data protection act.

He is expected to appear before Newry magistrates court later on Monday.

On Sunday, police were granted a further 36 hours to question a 28-year-old man being held on suspicion of the murder.

He was originally arrested on Friday.
