Police allowed longer to question Dungannon murder suspect

Police have been granted a further 36 hours to question a 28-year-old man being held on suspicion of the murder of a Lithuanian man in Dungannon.

Audrius Aukstuolis, 29, was stabbed in a carpark in Anne Street, Dungannon, at about 1200 GMT on Wednesday.

He died on Thursday from his injuries.

The 28-year-old suspect was originally arrested on Friday.

A 34-year-old man who was arrested in the Banbridge area as part of a wider investigation into the murder remains in custody.

The man is not being questioned in relation to murder.

He was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and suspicion of breaching the Data Protection Act.
