Man killed in Downpatrick road accident named

A 23-year-old man who died in a traffic accident in Downpatrick has been named.

He was Conor Kirton from Crossgar. His car left the Belfast Road close to the old Abbey Lodge hotel at about 0730 GMT on Saturday.

Mr Kirton was the only person in the vehicle.

The police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
