Policeman accused of taking Chief Constable's fireworks

A police officer from County Londonderry has appeared in court charged with stealing fireworks belonging to the Chief Constable.

Denver Kincaid, whose address was given as c/o Magherafelt Police Station, appeared at the town's magistrates court on Wednesday.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence, which is alleged to have taken place in October 2009.

The case was adjourned until next month.
