Cash and paintings have been stolen from an art gallery in Newry.

At about 1620 GMT on Thursday , two men entered the gallery in Mill Street and approached a female worker in her 40s.

One of the men put his hands over her face and demanded cash.

They tied her hands before escaping with a small amount of cash and two paintings valued at a total of £2,500. The paintings were recovered nearby.
