Police have made a significant seizure of methedrone in a series of raids in County Down.

A PSNI spokesperson said officers had found a "large amount" of the Class B drug during searches in the Limes area of Banbridge on Friday evening.

A woman, aged in her 30s, has been arrested and is being questioned.

Until this year, the synthetic drug was sold in shops and known as a "legal high". However, it was subsequently banned by the government.
