Man charged after 'ecstasy' haul in Castlereagh

A 29-year-old man has been charged after suspected ecstasy with an estimated street value of £20,000 was seized in Castlereagh.

About 4,000 tablets were seized on Friday afternoon during what police described as a "pro-active search".

A 29-year-old man appeared at Newtownards Magistrates Court on Saturday.

He was charged with offences including possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
