A man now stable after being shot in Belfast

A man is in a stable condition in hospital after being shot in the legs in north Belfast.

The man, who's in his 20s, was shot by three men wearing balaclavas who forced their way into a house in Brompton Park in the Ardoyne area on Monday night.

He is being treated in the Royal Victoria hospital.

In a separate incident an 18-year-old man was shot twice in both legs at a flat on the Antrim Road at about 1030 GMT on Tuesday.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who witnessed the attacks or who has information to contact them.
