A security alert in south Belfast's Donegall Road area has ended.

It followed the discovery of two suspicious objects at Bentham Drive and Roden Street on Thursday.

Police said the first object was found to be non-suspicious and the second object was found to be component parts of a pipe bomb.

A controlled explosion was carried out on the second object. Children in a nursery school were among those moved away from the area.
