The PSNI has won a major prize at the National Business Awards in London.
It came top in the "Health, Work and Wellbeing Award" category for what the judges described as the pioneering work of its Occupational Health Unit.
The unit was established in 1986 by the RUC.
Judges said the PSNI had maintained a strong focus on employee well-being which helps to support the recovery of its officers.
"Demonstrating a deep understanding of the wider impact of work pressures, PSNI has developed a very impressive continuing programme to promote well-being and support the recovery of its officers", Philip Forrest, chairman of the judges said.
