Three men have been arrested over pipe bomb attacks in west Belfast last week.

One of the devices exploded outside a house in St James' Park on Monday night - the second bomb was found in nearby La Salle Park.

No-one was injured in the attacks. The men - aged 24, 29 and 40 - were arrested in south Belfast.

A number of houses have been searched and several items including a vehicle have been taken away for examination.

Six people, including a four-year-old girl and a pregnant woman - were in the house in St James' Park when the first device exploded.

The other device had been left on the wall of the house of Liam Shannon, a republican who is chair of the Felon's Club in west Belfast.
