Retailer Menarys creating 70 jobs
Retailer Menarys is creating 70 jobs and investing £150,000 to introduce new brands to its Tempest stores.
Menarys - which was established in 1923 and sells clothes, homeware and cookware - has about 1,200 full-time and part-time staff.
There are more than 20 stores in NI and the Republic, with about 11 Tempest outlets aimed at younger shoppers.
Menarys' Jacqueline Beattie said it is a sign of how the company has changed its focus over the last decade or so.
"Until 10 years ago we catered definitely for the 35 and up, today we cater for the 16, 17-year-old and up.
"Tempest provides young fashion for all ages," she said.
"We have had a lot of work going on in the stores, we've had a lot of moves to make these things happen, but again it's about offering someting new and we have done some investment in order to make this work.
"There's been quite a lot of movement across the stores so that is creating managers' positions, full-time sales advisor posts and part-time posts as well."
