Woman is rescued after Portglenone shop fire

Firefighters have rescued a woman from a flat in Portglenone, County Antrim, after a blaze which is being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to the fire at a shop at Main Street in Portglenone at about 0300 BST on Wednesday.

A woman living in the flat above the shop had to be helped to safety. The shop was damaged in the fire.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
