Bodies of two men found on boat in York city centre

The bodies of two men have been discovered on a boat moored in York city centre.

Emergency services were called to Lendal Bridge on the River Ouse at about 20:00 GMT on Wednesday.

North Yorkshire Police said officers attended "after concerns were raised for two men in their 60s who had been out of touch with their family".

The deaths are being treated as "unexplained" and a post-mortem examination will take place later.
