Banjo attack in York: Man arrested

A man wielding a banjo as a weapon launched an attack in a street in York, police said.

The assault took place outside the Explore Library in Museum Street at about 14:15 BST.

North Yorkshire Police said they did not know the condition of the victim, who is believed to be in his 20s.

However, a force spokesman said a man had been arrested on suspicion of assault.
