Fire garden opens in Harrogate's Valley Gardens
A North Yorkshire park has been lit up by flaming firepots, torches and lanterns as part of Harrogate International Festivals 50th birthday.
French company Carabosse has created a "Fire Garden" by filling the spa town's Grade II-listed Valley Gardens with cast-iron sculptures.
The event, co-commissioned by Yorkshire Festival and Harrogate Borough Council, runs until Saturday.
Harrogate International Festivals described it as "something special".
Chief executive Sharon Canavar said: "We wanted to do something for Harrogate and the wider north that was really accessible - a place that people come to regularly and see it in a different light.
"It covers acres and acres, around every nook and cranny."
