Criminal damage charge after horse found shot dead in garden

A man has been charged over the death of a horse found shot dead and left in a North Yorkshire garden.

The 36-year-old man from Raskelf has been charged with one count of criminal damage.

The horse was found at an address in the village on 15 October. North Yorkshire Police said it had been shot through the head.

The man is scheduled to appear at Northallerton Magistrates' Court on 28 November.
