Two injured in North Yorkshire light plane crash
Two men from Lancashire were injured when a light aircraft crashed on North Yorkshire moorland.
The small Cessna plane came down on Ingleborough Moor, near Settle, at 2115 GMT on Monday, police said.
Rescue teams found the wreckage and the pilot and passenger were taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary for treatment for minor injuries.
The plane was flying north from Blackpool towards Kirkby Lonsdale. The crash will be investigated.
The pilot, a 55-year-old man from Blackpool, suffered minor injuries and the 31-year-old passenger from Blackburn suffered a broken nose and ankle.
The Civil Aviation Authority and Air Accidents Investigation Branch have been informed about the incident.
