York Minster concert plea as band stranded
A cot death charity is trying to find a brass band to play at their carol concert, after the weather forced their regular musicians to pull out.
The East Riding of Yorkshire Band cannot make it to this year's event at York Minster, as the snow has left many of them unable to travel.
The Foundation for the Study of Infant Death, which hosts the concert, is now appealing for bands to get in touch.
The concert takes place at York Minster on Sunday.
The organisation's Gill Ryder said they were ideally hoping to get another brass band, but were also keen to hear from individual musicians.
The concert is held for bereaved parents to remember and celebrate the lives of their babies.
Anyone who thinks they can help is asked to contact the Foundation on 0114 250 7037.
