Boy, 15, charged after teen stabbed in Swindon

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a teenage boy was stabbed in Swindon town centre.

The incident happened at about 19:30 GMT on Saturday in the Wharf Green area.

The victim, aged 18, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with "serious injuries".

The suspect, from Swindon, who cannot be named, appeared at the town's juvenile court earlier and was remanded in custody.

Wiltshire Police arrested eight other boys aged 13-18 and a 14-year-old girl who were later released on conditional bail.
