A man who allegedly filmed young girls undressing at a leisure centre in Wiltshire and then stole their underwear, is being sought by police.

Four girls, aged between 12 and 13, have been targeted in the last two weeks in communal changing rooms at the Olympiad in Chippenham.

On 19 June, three girls claimed a man held a mobile phone under their door and filmed them and on 2 July a girl reported the theft of her underwear.

Police are linking the two incidents.

Two weeks after the first reports, a 13-year-old girl said that her bra and pants had been taken from her bag in the mixed changing rooms, said Sgt Phil Connor from Wiltshire Police.

'Increased patrols'

Nick Moran, from DC Leisure, which manages the Olympiad, said the company was working closely with the police and had increased patrols in the centre's changing rooms.

"About 18 months ago, signs were put up in the changing rooms forbidding the use of mobile phones," he said.

"And as a deterrent, we've got a big flat screen television at reception showing everybody who comes into the centre."

Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to over the allegations at the leisure centre.
