Swindon cyclist stab murder: Police get more time to question suspect

Police have been granted more time to question a suspect over the murder of a cyclist on a cycle path in Swindon.

Aulton Thomas Rogers, 60, known as Tom, was found with multiple stab wounds after an attack near the train station late on Thursday.

A 28-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of his murder on Monday

Wiltshire Police said they had been given until Wednesday morning to continue questioning the man.

The man, who remains in police custody, was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and grievous bodily harm with intent for a separate incident on 8 May at the same location.
