Man, 80, who died after car overturns on M4 is named

An 80-year-old man who died when the car he was in overturned on the M4 motorway has been named by police.

Donald John Whaley, from Bristol, died at the scene, a mile (1.6km) east of the Swindon West junction on Monday.

The driver and front seat passenger, a male and female both in their 80s, suffered minor injuries and were treated at the Great Western Hospital.

Wiltshire Police said the occupants had been returning home from Luton Airport after a holiday.
