Alternative to Trowbridge Pump Festival is planned

An alternative event is planned after one of Wiltshire's most popular festivals was cancelled earlier this year.
Organisers of the Trowbridge Village Pump Festival stated it was "not financially feasible" to hold the 2011 event in the current economic climate.
The festival has been running for nearly 40 years.
Organisers of the smaller event said it would take place on the same weekend in the same location.
The Trowbridge Village Pump Folk Weekender is being planned by John Alderslade, a former organiser of the original festival.
He said: "Ours is a bijou event. If the pump festival gets back up and running next year then good luck to them. It's not a rival event.
"We just want to put on a great weekend for like-minded people. The acts will be of a good standard."
