Police investigating the murder of a man in Wiltshire have released CCTV of two people they want to speak to.

Paul Garland, 34, was found unconscious in the car park of the New Inn pub in Amesbury in the early hours of 1 January. He died at the scene.

Officers want to speak to a woman in a green dress and a man, seen separately outside The Bell pub in the early hours of New Year's Day.

A man from Larkhill, Daryl Talbot, 21, has been charged with the murder.

Police said the woman was seen on CCTV at 0316 GMT and the man was seen at 0330 GMT.

Detective Chief Inspector Sean Memory said: "These two people may have vital information which will help us further piece together the events of that night. I would urge them or anyone who knows their identity to contact me.

"I would also like to appeal for anyone who has information regarding this incident or who was in the area of the New Inn between 1am and 4am on New Year's Day and has not yet come forward to make contact.

"I can assure all callers that their information will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence."

A 19-year-old woman arrested in connection with the death had been released on bail without charge pending further inquiries.
