Women killed in crash on A345 near Amesbury are named

Two Hampshire women who died in a two-vehicle collision on the A345 near Amesbury in Wiltshire have been named.

They were driver Sarah Fisher, 52, from Gosport, and her passenger Patricia McDonald, 86, from Fareham.

Four men in the other car were taken to hospital where one remains in a serious but stable condition.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision which happened just after 4pm on Saturday should contact police," a force spokesman said.

The A345 at a location known locally as Low Flying Corner was closed for several hours while the accident was investigated.
