Three arrests after cannabis farm found in Sunderland

Two women and a man have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after a cannabis farm was found in a house in Sunderland.

The drugs were seized during a raid at an address in Ferryboat Lane and the arrests were made at Bailey Street.

The two women, aged 39 and 51, and a 23-year-old man are also being held on suspicion of money laundering and were bailed pending further inquiries.

Counterfeit goods and £5,000 cash were also seized, Northumbria Police said.
