Man charged over Sunderland teen stab murder
A man has been charged with the murder of a teenager who died after being stabbed.
Connor Brown, 18, died in hospital after being attacked behind The Borough pub in Sunderland city centre at 01:30 GMT on Sunday.
A 20-year-old man from Sunderland has been charged with murder and is due before South Tyneside magistrates on Tuesday.
A 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody.
Det Ch Insp John Bent, of Northumbria Police, said: "This was a tragic incident that resulted in the death of a young man who had his entire life ahead of him.
"We are not treating this as a random attack and I would like to reassure the community that we will leave no stone unturned in finding out the truth behind Connor's death."
