Manslaughter admission over Hexham Studio Sport Bar death

A man has admitted causing the death of a man who died from head injuries outside a Northumberland pub.

Michael Thompson, 32, of Hexham, was found unconscious outside the town's Studio Sport Bar on 28 January.

Appearing at Newcastle Crown Court via videolink, Archie Henderson admitted manslaughter.

The 25-year-old, of Redesmouth Court, Bellingham, faces a charge of murder in relation to the attack and a trial is scheduled to begin on 24 July.

He was remanded in custody.
