Deaths spark South Tyneside 'bad heroin' warning

Two deaths have been linked to what police believe to be a batch of "bad" or highly pure heroin circulating in the South Tyneside area.

A man's body was found at an address in Hebburn on Sunday, and another in South Shields on Thursday.

Both are believed to have taken heroin prior to their death.

Northumbria Police said it was attempting to identify the source of the drug, and warned users they could be in danger.
