Second escaped prisoner Michael Forster hands himself in

A second prisoner who went on the run from a South Yorkshire prison has handed himself in to police.

Michael Forster, 41, from Gateshead, escaped from Hatfield Prison near Doncaster on 25 November. A £1,000 reward was offered for his capture.

Northumbria Police said Forster was arrested on Monday after handing himself into a police station.

Barry Lynn, 35, from Newcastle, who also absconded, handed himself in to police on 29 November.

Both were serving sentences for violent crimes.
