Cramlington's Alan Baker jailed for murdering wife

A 56-year-old man has been jailed for life for the murder of his wife at their home in Northumberland.

Alan Baker, 56, had pleaded guilty to killing his wife Christine, at a hearing in July.

The 52-year-old, was found dead at the house in Byrness Row, Cramlington, in the early hours of 29 April.

Her husband was ordered to serve a minimum of 13 years in jail, by a judge at Newcastle Crown Court.
