Warning after medication stolen in Newcastle

Police have warned that medication stolen during a burglary in Newcastle could pose a danger if taken inappropriately.

The dental surgery in Heaton Road, Heaton, was targeted in the early hours of Thursday.

Among the drugs taken were adrenaline, midazolam and diazapan.

A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: "It's important we trace the person responsible for this burglary and recover the property stolen."

She added: "We've been advised that on their own the drugs will not cause harm, however, any concoction of the medication is potentially extremely dangerous."
