Northumberland stab death treated as murder

A murder investigation is under way after a man was found seriously injured in a Northumberland town.
Emergency services went to the Co-op in The Square, Guide Post, Ashington, shortly before 1100 GMT on Sunday.
Police said the man, aged 28, was taken to Wansbeck Hospital where he later died. Post-mortem results revealed he died from stab wounds.
Two local men, aged 27 and 29, have been arrested. They remain in police custody while inquiries continue.
