Lifeboat in memory of North Shields crash boy

A lifeboat has been renamed in memory of a nine-year-old North Shields boy who was knocked down and killed.

Jordan Summerson died when he was hit by a motorbike in the accident in the town in June.

His family was invited to a ceremony to see a boat operated by Tynemouth-based Red Seal Rescue being named after him.

The charity's crews are young people who provide a safety boat service for events on or near water.
