Residents are being asked for their views on a £1.2m plan to repair buildings and revamp shop fronts in a Teesside street.

Hartlepool Borough Council wants to revitalise Church Street with money received from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The plan includes facade and roof repairs, as well as restoration of dilapidated shop fronts.

Residents can give their views on the plan by visiting the council website.

A council spokesman said many shops needed only minor repairs.
