'Weapon-carrying' group end Thornaby football match
A non-league football match had to be abandoned at half-time after a number of people turned up carrying what police described as weapons.
The game, between Tyneside-based Wrekenton Blue Star and home team Thornaby Village, took place in Stockton on Sunday afternoon.
Following a row between spectators, a man left and returned with a group wearing balaclavas.
No-one was injured and Cleveland Police has appealed for information.
The force asked anyone who knew the identity of the spectator who left and then returned to get in touch.
